OMG NYC!

Brett here - it's week two of my first month living in NYC. One thing I'm realizing is that this city is so transient that basically everyone and their mom "just moved to NYC" lol.

On the events side, NYC has so many cool events that it's honestly hard to keep track of - there was a Japan Festival literally right outside my apartment (I love Japan) this weekend! Compare that to LA, where it was a struggle to find good (startup) events to promote each week.

Also, we're creating a list of the best coworking cafes in Manhattan and Brooklyn - let us know what we should include!

monday (3/27)

• NYC Scouts & Friends Happy Hour - Nope, not Boy Scouts. Come hang with VC Scouts & Friends hosted by Afore, Republic, and Middesk.

• NYC's Largest Entrepreneur Networking Event - It's a big claim, and its huge if true! Haha. Honestly think Andrew Yeung will be taking the cake here if he hasn't already

• USA x Israel Technology Meetup - Home to a 🔥 tech scene, come hang out with Israeli startups, see them present, and mingle.

• GPT4 Networking + Discussion - Because we know y'all are hungry for more AI events. We certainly are.

• NYC Creator Economy Meetup - Our friend Brett Dashevsky over at Workweek is hosting a meetup for creator economy friends. (Brett got a MrBeast reply this week so he's kinda a big deal #MamaIMadeIt)

• Shopify's Startup CPG Meetup - CPG founders, this is your time to shine. Btw, if you want to showcase your product, [email protected]

• Founder & Entrepreneur Coworking Day - Go cowork with some smart driven people like you!

• SuperBrands Fair - To celebrate Women's History Month, come hang with 3-5 select mystery brands at a top secret location.

• MLConf - Humans, go hang out with other humans working in Machine Learning at this single-day conference. There's speakers from Meta, Pinterest, Foursquare, and more.

• Silicon Alley Startup & Tech Mixer - Don't know much about this organization but you should go check it out and let us know how it is!

friday (3/31)

• Pitch & Walk - Zehra from Republic hosts this awesome event every Friday! Go check it out!

• Venture Debt Conference - Thinking about raising debt? In this market, honestly it might be rough so attending this conference may be a good move!

saturday (4/1) - APRIL FOOLS

• Go to a comedy club! Secret NYC has a great list

• Don't go on Twitter. The tech industry is known for going over the top (but kinda believable) with their April Fools stunts. Here's a list from 2022.

sunday (4/2)

• Sofar Sounds in UWS - I love sofar. You never know what you're gonna get but its always good! Go check this out.

• KPOP The Musical - Didn't realize there was a whole dang musical for KPOP but here it is!

WEATHER

If you loved this sunny Sunday, there's good news. Tuesday through Thursday look pretty sunny and in the 50s. Sounds like hoodie weather to me.

WHAT'S COMIN UP.

• NFT NYC - the famous (infamous?) NFT conference is coming back hopefully to usher in a NFT bull market so I can recoup some of my massive L's. Time to party like Apes.

• New York Fintech Week - exactly what it sounds like. Lesson of the week: don't expect creative conference names from finance bros.
